Roasting the Tires on a AT5

Just want to get everyone's opinions/experiences. I am curious dammit! Yes.. on a dry road.

So how do you roast your tires with the AT5?

I couldn't get mine to spin in the dry, straight ahead. On any kind of turn, it was easy though.

It would be nice to test out some of that head jerking torque like they mentioned in Road and Track. However, I cannot get the tires to break loose on a straigh w/o a little water. Sideways is easy.

Re: Roasting the Tires on a AT5

If you guys are talking about burnouts, thats how I burnt out my stock tires in 5k miles and went through a winter and almost died and in the rain too and couldnt drive my car throughout the whole winter haha!! Its easy to do a burnout, hold the break pedal to the floor until it clicks, give it gas until you fell the tires move a little, let go of the break and in the same motion punch the throttle and brake hard again and you can regulate the tire spin witht he trottle in manual mode with 1st gear!! But since I dont have a LSD i didnt realize one of my tires burnt out quicker than the other, it sucked!

If something goes wrong, you take full responsibility.

Power break - Step on the break pedal, then hold the gas pedal until the RPMs don't go any higher, then let off the break while slamming the gas pedal.

BTW - turn off VDC

This could also screw up your brakes if you hold it for too long- i think i'm correct about that.

Re: Roasting the Tires on a AT5

Why would anyone want to do this? Do you have so much money that you are trying to buy new tires everytime you drive the car?

Jim dont be jealous because you cant burn out anymore for more than 4 seconds before melting the tires off your rims =)
