Buying transmission fluid in stealership

Coz my transmission seems is not working really well (5AT G coupe)
I went to stealership today and ask to buy the transmission fluid
He told me to buy 12Quart for changing the whole fluid in the trans
1Q = $16
is that really need 12 Quart that much?

My infiniti dealer has it for $18 and my nissan dealer for $20! It ridiculous and I will not pay for it because it's just wrong!

Autozone sells a Mobile1 product that says it's compatible with matic-j and is synthetic. Thoughts? It's about $7 a quart.

My Infiniti dealership charges twice what Nissan does and they use the same fluid used in the Z....never totally believe what any dealership says!

I remember seeing the exact Infiniti trans fluid on line for $10 per quart including shipping.

yea... i am not going to save a few bucks for my trans's safety, however, i was reallly doubt if it is real that the trans need only 4-5 quart to drill and fill instead of 12 Q.

Well, it's $28 vs. $72 + Filter and I plan on doing it somewhat often because I really beat on my car. I used to always use whatever tranny fluid I could find on other cars and never really had an issue but this is a Nissan and I've never had a nissan before so....
