P O I N T S!!~??~?~???

hey guys i was going 75 in a 45 construction zone on the AC expressway in NJ on the way to Atlantic City from Philly.....which was total bs because i was out of the constuction zone when i got pulled over....so my question is for you east coast heads out there.....do points transfer?????????? from NJ to PA??? do i get points????
i've heard a many differnt things regarding points and such. so im hoping someone can let me know...thanks guys....

i believe nj, ny, and pa dmv's are connected, so the points will transfer. you should proabably plead not guilty, go to court, and plead it down. just in case.

Not true. I received a ticket in NJ going 45 in a 20. I live in NY and I received no points. You should check with your state if anything. If you're really serious about not having points on your license, go talk to a lawyer.

Most Def...go to court and plead not guilty... who knows you might get lucky and not have points at all!

Nice one Sam... =) Unfortunately, PA has an agreement with NJ, WV and DE since they are the surrounding states so the points will transfer. I know this because I got a speeding ticket in WV coming from Ohio but it was an Ohio cop that pulled me over. I called my insurance guy to see how much my rates would go up and because it was Ohio it won't transfer to PA and since I do not get a review everytime my insurance renews from the DMV, my rates weren't going up so I was safe! Thank god. Good luck!

The points applied to your lincense probably won't transfer so you shouldn't have to worry about losing your license from this. However, you will definitly get insurance points regardless of how many points are placed on your license. The only way to not get rid of insurance points is to fight it in court so the offense never gets placed on your record.
