What options to get on G35 Coupe?
What options to get on G35 Coupe?
I'm going to order my 2005 and was wondering your guys opinion on the options. I'm for sure gonna get the sport package and premium package but here where I need some opinions:
1. Aero package with and with out the spoiler, I've never seen the front in person and was wondering if it really does look good.
2. Navigation system. For those of you who have it is it worth the $2000?
Thannks for all your input.
Also if anyone has any good pics of the aero packages could you please post.

Can't have a manual in L.A. the traffic is insane, I would love to have a manual but it just wouldn't work.

Check my photo album for pics with the aero kit. It is definitely worth it to get it from the dealer. I was lucky and was basically handed someone elses car which had everything on it, minus nav. Its the best decision I made!

Re: What options to get on G35 Coupe?
Navigation is well worth it. Don't think about it twice. Get it. I got the spoiler because it is actually functional. It lowers the drag coefficient. But in retrospect, I would forego the spoiler but get the front lip and splash guards. You could always add the spoiler later. More and more I like the lines without the spoiler, but, personal preference.
Re: What options to get on G35 Coupe?
GET THE NAVI! you won't regret it! it's not only navi but it gives you other info like distance to empty, average MPG, how far you are from your oil change ETC ETC..

I'm also in LA, poised to pre-order a 2005 coupe.
(1) Where/how were you planning to order it? Any bright ideas on getting the best deal?
(2) A pal with an M3 says the suspension on his car is actually too stiff for him (a few years into it), and he wishes now he had the normal suspension. This has me rethinking myself: do I really want the performance package? Is it overkill?
Any thoughts much appreciated....

The Navigation system is worth it. In two years your luxury coupe won't seem very luxurious without a Navi.
As for the spoiler it's a personal preference. If you like how it looks get it. I happened to think the car look better without it so I didn't get it.

Re: What options to get on G35 Coupe?
GURAQT,
As far as your questions:
(1) The only dealer I've talked to that would be willing to give me anything below MSRP is Van Nuys which was $500 below this is because models with the Navi is so much more sought out, but I'm gonna be posting some more to see if anyone else has a better dealership or names.
(2) The new 2005 with sport package will have 19" wheels, these will def. make the ride a little rougher, and M3 is a pure sports car not a luxury sports coupe like the G35, I"m sure the ride on the G35 is smoother than an M3. I had my 325ci dropped on 19" rims with 35 series tires and the ride was still good, so I just think the M3 has a pure race tuned sport suspension while the G35 is more a luxury sport.

Re: What options to get on G35 Coupe?
Get both ! The navigation is a MUST ... It's awesome, it looks good and it's also very helpful in finding your way ... As someone mentioned, in a couple of years, most cars (at least luxury cars) will have the navigation system, so might as well, get yours now.
