Wheels question

Potential noob question..

Does anyone run a non-staggered setup for their coupe? The reason i ask is cuz i am looking at getting the axis shines 20" and the staggered set up would put me way over budget

is a non-staggered setup even possible? if so, how bad/ugly would it look?

thanks guys

KL

staggered could go 2 ways.

wheels staggered
or
tires staggered

I would just wait and when the cash is right buy the staggered wheel set.

do both

but all depends on how flush you want to go

what are the wheels widths and offsets

i dont mind it being not perfectly flush. the guy at the shop said i will *have* to get a staggered setup or it will look like crap. is he just saying that to sell? cuz the staggered option costs 1/3 more

wont look like dirt.

just get wide enough wheel so that way you can put a good size rear tire
or get a wheel with low offsets and at least a 8.5-9.0 width wheel and put a standard size tire like 245 or 255 in the rear and keep 225 or 245 up front

really hard to explain when you dont mention the wheel sizes or offsets..

many guys are run same width size wheel .. they will post up soon

The coupe 18's (wheels) are not staggered from the factory. They merely run larger tires in the rear, thus staggering the setup.

non staggered wheels with lips will look stupid, IMO. save up for the staggered setup. better yet, save up and buy some better wheels from the marketplace. great deals on nice (used) setups all the time.

(t7n7) didnt stagger his first set of rims... he called his car the turtle. If you search you might be able to find some old pics from some of his posts.

He has since upgraded

Calvin's 100%....save your $ until you can afford a quality set up that's staggered. Watching our MARKETPLACE is also a great....

yea none staggered is going to look like as_s. Just save your money. I see people doing it in Houston all the time, just makes the car look cheap IMO.

the only plus side to a non staggered setup would be rotating tires to try to save some life on them. it really depends on what your wanting.

It the VDC that might have something to say about a non staggered setup. Some get away with it, while others have issues. I'd suggest doing some research before going through the expense. Good luck.
