Those with Huper Optik tints..
Re: Those with Huper Optik tints..
Interesting, because they are a very reputable place around here and have been in the business a long time. Plus, they were recommended at a BMW car meet a little bit ago and my bf was reading about them in a magazine or ad somewhere as well.
No, I am pretty sure I heard him right as I asked a lot of questions, etc.
Thank you.

Ditto here with the radar... No interference...
As for the small water bubbles and streaks... Just LEAVE THEM ALONE... Mine took a good 2 weeks for the tint to dry and ALL of the bubble to go away. As for the rear... RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN if an installer says he's doing the rear in multiple pieces. From my experience (G and past cars), a good installer heat shrinks the tint to mold to the rear. Also, you might also notice a "wet" look on the rear tints for a week or 2... Just let the thick Huper tints dry out. Park it in the sun to help it dry out.
Hope this info helps.

Re: Those with Huper Optik tints..
A super nice and competent guy named Randy in Hollywood, CA (Window Tints etc.) did mine. One piece work, went over dot matrix with no issues at all. He has pictures of quite a few actors on his wall thanking him for their tinting jobs.

Speedaholic,
Do you think it's worth driving 86 miles each way for me to go to James Window Tint in Middletown for that low, low price of $250?
They've worked on several G's so that's good i guess, but I'm not sure if it's worth the trip.
Also, while the Huper is drying (which reportedly can take up to a month) are you able to roll the windows down? If not, I might wait till the cooler months to have it done.

Re: Those with Huper Optik tints..
Steve,
If you ask me then yes. It's worth the drive. Unless you can find someone who can do it just slightly higher, I personally would take the drive.
As far as drying times, the side windows can be rolled after 5 days, I waited 6 just to be safe (long 6 days, I missed the exhaust note...). The rear window, like babyphat said, will have this "wet" look to it, that will take more than a few days, probably 2-3 weeks, but that's just the rear.
If you want, you can click on the link below to see some pics of my coupe with the tint on.
Good luck.
Daniel.

Re: Those with Huper Optik tints..
True, true, willthethrill. If I decide to make the drive up to Middletown, NY, I'll be coming from Philadelphia. And, it appears that this tint shop may in fact be worth the drive up....that is, unless I hear from the place in Allentown, PA.
