ok..heres my delima..i got a 2004 g35 coupe..but i can not afford a full exhuast system..cuz they run 800+ bucks...what are your thoughts on just getting a muffler? cuz all i am looking for is to get a mean, deeper growl..i dont care much for performance..i dont race....what are your two cents on that?

just swap out the muffler for a Magnaflow Camaro type muffler and remove the resonator.

 

Alex quit being lazy. (Sorry had to do it) Check out the marketplace for a used exhaust or look for a knock off. Don't just settle, I'm sure you can find something nice and still within your budget.

 

i used to have an aftermarket muffler. sounded great. it's for sale (local only in socal).

 

what one of my friends did was bought a nice brand name muffler and had a shop custom make an exhaust system for him, it was cheap because youre not paying for the name, its just piping

 

I saw a thread about selling Xo2 exhaust for $250...(used)

 

buy a aftermarket. you should be able to find a nice one for your price

you can also remove the resonators and it'll make it a lil louder

 

It is exactly what I did on my coupe.

 

just go on youtube for the sound. I just copied the magnaflow set up.

sound is like stock but much more amplified, especially when on full thorttle. no droan at all. (mid pipe back)

just go to a muffler shop and tell them you want a 2.5 inch magnaflow muffler that is used on the camaros, then just do your piping.

I got mine for 150 cause my buddy did it at his cost but anywhere else should be around 250.

 

ok so i youtube sounds w/o resonator..and i do not like that raspy sound...i cant not find one with a custom magnaflow muffler..all of them just say exhuast..so ima search this site later...unless you guys know a link to the site u can just send me..also i found this one ebay...but im scared to try it cuz i dont want my car sounding like a fart can..anyone ever heard this one?
