HAHA....sorry, having Goodyear doing alignment is kinda like using Wall Mart oil in your G....why would you want to? I know of 2 good alignment shops in my area, both are independent shops that do a very good job. Once your alignment is done correctly you won't need it done again unless you have an accident or hit a curb!

Don't believe everything people tell you.

Oh.. except for me... you can believe everything I tell you, because I'm from Krypton and it's impossible for me to lie.

As far as the alignment every 6 months... that's a gigantic crock of ****. Usually the only times you need to get an alignment is if you crash into something, hit a lot of big bumps on a very very regular basis, run up over a curb, or blast through big potholes or other over damaging road obstacles. Your car won't just fall out of alignment for no rhyme or reason on its own from driving on perfectly smooth roads. I've never done an alignment on my G35 yet since it was new and I'm 34K miles into owning it since it was brand new off the dealer lot. For most people though, their general driving habits will eventually result in them hitting some road obstacles or huge jarring bumps which will slightly knock the alignment out of whack over time a little bit at a time. If you hit a lot of stuff like that, maybe you could get an alignment done like halfway through the life-cycle of your current set of tires and then get one done whenever you put on a new set too.

Usually you will know if you are in serious need of an alignment, because you'll either have uneven tire wear or the car will pull to one side while driving straight on a flat road with your hands off the steering wheel.

The only time I ever consider getting an alignment is when I buy a new set of tires... in which case it's a good investment to get an alignment done almost every time, since it's like 1/6th the cost of a new set of tires plus installation and not worth the risk of potentially wasting a brand new set of front tires from uneven tire wear resulting from misaligned front wheels.

I have had my car for six years aligned fairly regularly and the front inside shoulders have always worn faster than the outer shoulders.
