**** I got HIT!

Very sad day today.

So I was at my buddy's house just smoking outside the house. My car was parked across the street of the house.

My buddy's neighbor was just about to leave the house. As he was backing out of his driveway, he freaking hit the front bumper of my G. I don't think he saw my car or anything cause he backed up pretty damn fast. Then I quickly went up to him, he said sorry and sht. Then he was like, "Can you not report me, I can pay you the dedectible by cash" I was like no way, because his car hit my licence plate as well, which made it bent(So therefore I need to get a new one from my insurance company). So then I copied down his information.

This is the second time that I have seen someone hit my car before, and it hasnt been even a year yet. I feel sorry for my G . Sht happens...

Damn that sucks to hear. Well don't feel too bad, I've only had my car for one month and it's already in the shop with $8K in repairs because a crazy old lady decided she wasn't going to yield to oncoming traffic and turn right in front of me.

How bad is the damage? Hehe, maybe you can get a new bumper out of it.

I'd double check on the license plate. I didn't know you had to go through the insurance to get a new one from DMV. Contact your local DMV office. Reporting the accident to the insurance company means Carfax report and depreciation value when you do sell the car. If the neighbor is an upstanding guy, it might be in your best interest doing it a private matter.

If it makes you feel anyu better, 4 days after I got my car; some jackass neighbour of mine backed into my front bumper and left some nasty scuffs and scratches on my G! I tracked down the car and confronted him but he denied it like a bitch.

Reporting to the insurance company = Carfax? Really?? I thought it only appears on Carfax if a police report was filed and if goes through the DMV... My car got keyed and I went through the insurance company to get a paint job covered... Does that mean it's on Carfax and that my car is going to take a several thousand dollar hit in value?

This happened to me 3 days ago! rooar neighbor backed up into my car a few days after i got my greddy bumper installed and painted! atleast he rang my door bell at 8 am in the morning and told me. Anyways, I'm trying to tell him to give me cash, so I get more $_$ into my pocket rather than the body shop owning their insurance company and have premium go up d(^_^)b

he was around maybe 23 years old. At the time of the incident, he was wearing shades and had his back window mad tinted. Also there was no sun, and my car is OB so I think he didnt see my car

Dammnnn thats a bummer And i believe the carfax only shows a police report. But id google it or find out first :O Because if only the bumper was hit just see if he would pay for a new bumper. Could be a easy way to score a aftermarket bumper :P

Your Lucky, could have been worse!

Nothing much worse than being a witness to your car getting hit. (been there) Now would be a really good time to think about where and how you park your G. To get a new license plate just go to your local DMV office for a replacement....small fee.
