Hey everyone, I just got my used G about a week ago and I must say I am in love. 20 yrs old, been driving a 94 camry for about 5 years so this is a bit of an upgrade for me. This is my first manual trans car but I have learned to drive one on friends cars prior to this purchase. It is a 2005 OB G35 coupe 6mt, (yes: Bose, No: Navigation) I bought it used at an exotic auction through a dealer friend of the fam's. 36,000 miles for $18,600. Anyway, upon receiving it I noticed a silverish pinstripe on both sides of the car. I am thinking the dealer put it on himself (he bought my brothers car and it has the same exact pinstripe on it). I have done a good deal of research and I shouldnt have a problem removing it; however I would like your opinion on whether it should stay on or not. I know many of you will be on the side of "TAKE IT OFF YESTERDAY!", but I have seen a few black coupes lately that look a little emptyish on the sides. Bottom line: Should it stay or should it go?

Welcome and congrats on the purchase. I just recently purchased an 05 OB coupe myself. As for the pinstripes, they need to go. It will look a lot better, nice and clean.

Welcome! and congrats as well on the purchase. I am completely enamoured with my 05 OB 6MT (except for about an hour after I wash it as I watch the pollen swarm her!) hehe. Glad you're joining the group and get to enjoy such a great car!

For your poll, my opinion is to remove the pin stripe. The lines of the car are just too good to go messin with IMO. I've considered going with other vehicles along the way, but nothing stands up to the timeless lines of my G!
