Gotta hand it to the sedan owners...

My coupe has been at the dealer for about a week now getting serviced and they gave me a sedan to drive. Base model black on willow with 17" wheels. For a sedan that car really moves! Great pickup going down the road and it handles nicely too. I do feel that the seats are a bit harder in front and rear vs.my coupe. I also feel as the car floats a bit more and transfers more pavement brakes than my coupe. Overall, if I needed a 4 door I would be in G. Its cool to experience both versions, but I still miss my coupe!!

Re: Gotta hand it to the sedan owners...

wait until you try a sport suspension version with sways and some engine upgrades that cost about as much as the premium the coupe gets...if it weren't for my big *** arms and legs i's want the coupe too

LOL i'm the same way sixfive. I'm 6'6 275 and i thought the coupe was a bit too cramped for me. I chose the sedan because it's roomier and just as fast as a coupe.

Re: Gotta hand it to the sedan owners...

I just handed back a g35 4door loaner today. The only thing I didn't like was that floatyness feeling, which seems to be fixable (as mentioned above). I thought the seats in the front were much more comfortable than my coupe though.

Re: Gotta hand it to the sedan owners...

loaners are typically non-sport - what was yours. The suspension on sport version of sedan is same as coupe i thought. Just put sways on today - i think me likey...

Re: Gotta hand it to the sedan owners...

I have driven both sport suspension sedans and coupes, and I don't think the suspensions are the same. The G35 sedan sport feels alittle firmer than non-sport, but not as hard as the coupe. I also noticed more roll on the sedan. Not saying the sedan suspension is not as good, because many times I wish I can have the comfort of sedan suspension when I am on bumpy roads.

Re: Gotta hand it to the sedan owners...

Personally, I think the sports suspension in the sedan is close to the coupe except for the slight body roll. I think it has to do with the areodynamics of the coupe and bigger tires. Anyway my mom is getting up there in age (almost 60 sorry mom) took my car out for a spin the day I bought mine and bought the sedan with the areo kit and sports susapesion the next day.

Re: Gotta hand it to the sedan owners...

The sways have ended all roll. It's a dream now. 20mm wider tires will help quite a lot I would think too. I get a little squeal that I didn't used to now - 21k on the turanzas so maybe that's the problem too. Skinny tires suck

Re: Gotta hand it to the sedan owners...

I had a Sedan loaner for a day, and did a 160 mile trip. I must say I was impressed at the performance. My regular ride is a 6MT Coupe; but I almost wished I had AT in the Coupe. If I had to buy a Sedan it would certainly consider the coupe.
But I gotta hand it to the sedan owners - the sedan is one butt ugly car

If we're going to set aside objectivity and just doing the same old song and dance, then you probably don't want to be talking about "butts"; have you seen your coupe's recently
