g35 vs. s2000
quick question: I know that the topic of whether a g35 is faster than an s2000 has been debated quite a bit.
BUt my question is; which would win on a highway race starting at about 100 km/h or 65 mph?
Wouldn't a g35 kill an s2000 at high speeds?

You will pull a bit up to 120 then the S2000 will overtake you. I ran against one from 30-140 and had him by a car and half till 120 then he pulled on me.

An S2000 without a PERFECT driver, will beat a G35 due to its high revving engine and most drivers have to change up their driving to adapt to this car. Thats what a S2k owner told me, from a highway I would think a G35 would have the upper end on it, but the S2k's weight is also a factor. I would say very close. But still G35 by a little.

High speeds is where the 2K really shines. Much of it would depend on where each of you are in the powerband at the time that you start. I would say however that at high speeds the s2k would have an advantage. Off the line is where you will have the best chance of beating an S2k unless he knows what he is doing on the launch.

It really depends on the driver and the conditions. The S2000 lacks torque, so if it's on an uphill (even a slight one), the G will have the advantage. I can't really say though, as I have never raced one in my G.
I raced one in my dad's 01 MB E430 4Matic (he doesn't have it anymore though; 0-60 time of 6.6 seconds) and we raced from a very slow roll up to 60mph. The whole time he was pulling on me very slowly and when we backed off, his door was at the front end of the E430.
Good driving on his part, considering all I had to do was stomp on the pedal (yeah, Autos are lame that way).

S2000 only can compete with G coupe in corner,no way on the straight. I saw a lot Best Motoring video.
