mouse in my coupe

So apparently I've got a mouse in my car. I suspect it got in there when I was thoroughly cleaning my car oddly enough. I had the seats out and the doors open for a period of time and I started to notice the signs soon after I put everything back in its place.

Fortunately I do not see droppings or hear any squeeks, all I see are new pieces of pink insulation on my passenger side floor mat under the glove box area. I suspect its crawled up in the dash area somewhere, but I have not tried to find it really (been short on time). I'm leaving for a few days so I'm going to leave the car with my dad (borrowing his beater to leave at the airport) with some mouse traps, hoping I'll receive a good news phone call while Im away.

I just pray it's one mouse and not more.

Anyone else deal with this in their G? I hope to take the time to see if there are any outside sources of entry so I can close them up.

nope not in a G. But rat damage is really bad stuff. And if one dies in your car, its a horrible smell and really hard to get away... id make sure you find it and kill it and remove it...

Your problem has been posted on here a couple of times actually. It seems rats like to make nests in our cabin filters behind the glove box. Hope this helps and happy hunting.

Thats where I found my dead mouse in the cabin filter stuck between the vent door only noticed when the stench was overwelming. He was dead already, so it acted like a big mouse trap.

Mouse Trap + Peanut Butter = dead mouse and no more mouse in your car
