If you do every bolt on mod (intake,headers,plenum,exhaust etc.) you could gain around 20-30 rwhp and torque, if your looking to bore your engine out and stroke it then you can get 400's NA!! Check this thread out http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthre...0&pagenumber=5

10% bump up in RWHP is peak average, as that is about the amount of built in safety the factory allows to increase engine longivity for warranty purposes..........whats possible vs. what to provide for warranty purposes.
Each sub system is allowed a fraction of unoptimization for packaging and cost purposes.
For example, the entire intake system is allowed up to 6.8% in TOTAL [1psi- 27.7" WC] restriction from the intake valve out thru TB, MAF, air filter and intake air inlet.
The other 3.2% can be found from the cat output to the muffler output [cats are a special case as they are required].
Measure the WOT back pressure just after the cats.......each psi will be roughly 2 HP that is restricted via the muffler system. Even 2.25" straight [no bends] piping will have back pressure.
Because you can't optimize TB much and the MAF is fixed doubtful that you can improve intake system more than 2-3% at best.

You can optimize the TB, get the TS ecu. Ive been looking for an aftermarket maf and have come to the conclusion that they just dont exist. Grr.

Do you know the I.D. of the oem TB. 350evo sells a TB that is bored and polished with a larger thinner throttle plate. I don't know how much they could have bored I've sent them an e-mail.
Do you think there is HP to be found there?

what if you move the MAF... maybe closer to the TB, will that get rid of the mis-readings due to the vortex affect that we discussed in the other thread?
