Last night i was driving my friend home when i see 3 lightenings, a rouche stage 3, an m3, and a 12 second wrx pull out of sonic...... i am friend with all of them and my friend in his blue lightening pulls up and tells me they are going to the HEB downt he road. We got there and just kinda sit in the parking lot and shoot the breeze talking about cars and stuff having ourselves a little car meet. We decided to go to this girl's party down the road and all hop into our cars and start cruising. We are on this road with a 45mph speedlimit that is really common for street racing because its got a couple of good QM straights coincidentally marked RIGHT at 1/4 mile by light posts on both sides. Well they are all flying going prolly close to 100 in their heavily modded f/i cars (except the m3 which had gone home). I had just told my friend tyler who was in the car with me that they were like the best radar detector ever..... i just knew id see flashing lights turn on for one of them before i had to worry about it.... sure enough a little ways downt he road i see red lights flashing and just kinda said MAN that sucks for them... i see all of my friends FLY past the cop and the cop swerves and cuts me off and stops me..... i was just like WTF go after those kids not me! i wasnt speeding or doing anything except FOLLOWING speeding cars and driving one capable of the same. I first tell my friend to grab the airsoft gun (REALLLLLY realistic) out of the glove box that had my insurance and drives license in it and throw it under his seat. next i roll down my window and asked why i was being stopped. It was a school cop (our school has its own police force that has the same power as a normal cop inside a school zone 24/7/365). He says "WE HAVE A BUIILDING COMING STAY RIGHT THERE!" and gets on his radio acting all hardcore. I was just like WTF a building?!! what does that mean? I just was imagining a SWAT van about to pull up or somethin ridiculous and them to be like "yeah we call these buildings!" I thot i was getting arrested for street racing... my friend got arrested for street racing and on the ticket it was written down that he was cocked at 40mph in a 45 zone.... my friend's 240 looks fast and sounsd it... but they werent racing and it got thrown out in court. Well i see another cop pulling up and ask if its for me. The first cop says "O another cop behind me" and slams down the gas and takes off... im like wtf im leaving this is bs... the other cop cuts me off and slams ont he brakes. I asked what was going on and he says "HOLD IT RIGHT THERE... there is a building coming!" Then next thing i know i see something like 8 sets of cop lights.... i was just like O SHIET cause i know that they take street racing really serious around where i live... me and my friend were freaking out at the cops HORRIBLE explanation of what was going on and how they were acting hardcore like i couldnt move or i would be shot or something. Next thing i know... a HUGE building is coming down the road. A gigantic portable house that took up 2 and a half lanes was coming down. I had to pull my g completely into a ditch off the shoulder so that it didnt hit me.. and he wasnt stopping. Three cheers for cops not being able to explain a simple situation and scaring the [censored] outa 17 year old kids by acting like hardasses all the time instead of being genial and giving a good explanation. I would have understaood i think if the guy had been nice and polite and been treating me with some respect... but he was acting like he was about to arrest me so i started believing it even tho i was doing nothing wrong.

right after that happened a cop puled out in front of me at a red light and when it turned green a punched it in the lane beside him and got up to 45mph in about 4 seconds and then stopped accelerating... the cop pulled in front of me and stopped int he middle of the road for about 30 seconds before he continued on his way.... i was just like WTF is going on.... i don understand when cops do that stuff... ive been pulled over before but never just like STOPED in the road like that

Althought it was wrong that they would pull you over and not them, anyway the last thing you said, you were going WOT to 45 when a cop was next to you> Or did he? i didnt quite get that, and if you did that your pretty stupid lol, you got pulled over like 2 minutes before that. well the 2nd thing was a different cop about 2 miles down the same road. I was at a red light in the right lane (2 lane one way road on this side) and i needed to turn left up ahead. The cop had pulled out onto the street ahead of me while i was still at the red light. When it turned green i took off to cut in front of the other driver so i could make the turn... the cop saw this and slowed to a stop in the middle of the road and stopped traffic.... i didnt get "pulled over" by either of them.... i just got stopped haha.

i hope you know that you can get a ticket for excessive acceleration. it might even be considered speed contest or exhibition of speed which is a 2 point misdemeanor the equivilant or racing...or it actually is racing(speed contest). b careful man. cops love to roll the coupe.

wow really (long) funny (i guess) story.....why again did you not understand the first 8 times that they were transporting a building of some kind down the street? i mean it was pretty obvious when they said "we got a building coming through" or did you just think that was cop talk for street racing?

it sounds that way... he didnt say "we have a building coming through" he said "we got a building coming". This is a VERY residential area... not a highway where its not uncommon to see a building in the road. It really was partially my own fault for thinking that... but think about it... u are following kids speeding 100mph, cops trys to stop them... cant... he stops u instead by pulling in front and slamming on his brakes.... makes him seem pissed. He wouldnt talk to me and told me to not move. I thought building might have been some kind of cop lingo for some special unit or special bust or something. Since it was a school cop i knew that he would have had to call a regular cop since we werent in a school zone... so it would have made since. He was on his radio talking the whole time and acting like a hardass.... and the cop knew me and was at my school last year.... actually i saw him while doing community service for the YMCA one day and he talked to me and recognized me from school.... so i just would have thought that he woulda been nicer

Yeah, seriously... I got pulled over a little while ago for just that... Accelerating too fast on the freeway onramp. What sucks though, was that this wasn't no ordinary freeway on-ramp. It's a stop sign, with a 90 degree turn, onto a freeway where average speed is 70+ mph. Cop didn't give me a ticket though... Just lectured me. The stupid thing was, I didn't even go over the speed limit while doing this... Jump on the freeway, and 2 seconds later, get chased down....

As for cops doing wierd things, I can feel for you. But they usually do it for a reason. One time I was on the 101 in LA. There weren't very many cars on the road, (it was close to 1 am). A cop flew past me, and got in front of me and slammed on the brakes. I changed lanes, and he changed right in front of me. He then sped up, and started driving diagonally across all of the lanes, back and forth, until me and the few cars around me were crawling on the freeway. He then proceeds slowly, continuing to go diagonally across the freeway, so nobody could go faster than 25 mph.

Good thing too.. Just around the bend, was a multi-car pile-up. It was obstructed from view, because of the bend in the freeway. If the cop didn't do that, I would've smashed right into everybody.

Another time, I was driving on I-5. Traffic was backed up pretty good. When I finally made it to the front, there was a cop in the left lane going 5 mph. The reason? There was a school of ducks walking down the freeway in the left lane. The cop was driving behind them, so nobody would run them over.

 

Isn't that called a "CIG ALERT" when a cop slows traffic down by driving diagonally across all lanes of the freeway?
It usually means there is something going on upfront like you said a pile up...sometimes for road construction too...

If I was the cop that stopped you, here's what I would've said...

"I stopped you not for speeding or anything but just behind you, there is a WIDE LOAD TRUCK piggybacking a HOME and it's taking up the entire road...I am just doing my job protecting and serving you the motorist...Once the oversized truck with the building passes, then you can go..."
