Speed Sensitive Control Volume (SCV) feature is turned on (Bose system). You can disable this by pressing the "Audio" button, then use the Tne Up or Down button to change to "off".

That started happening to me when I bought my G, but it would do it whether the SCV was on or not, so I scrapped the Bose.

I'm not saying it won't work in this instance, just that I wasn't that fortunate. But I love my double din DVD player so it ended up OK.

And if you decide to replace your HU, don't go with the Metra dash kit... I wish I would have gone with the JDM - it's more money but MUCH better quality. Just my $.02.

I did quite a bit of research on here before I bought the Metra but I decided I didn't want to have to solder the dual climate control button into the JDM and I didn't want to have gaps or have to fabricate spacers to fill the gaps around the HU. My biggest complaint about the Metra kit was that there was a jumper on 'option 1' which caused my temp button to not work. So I had to tear it all back apart, remove the jumper, and put it all back together again (PITA). Another complaint I have about the Metra kit is that the climate control assembly is weak, and now my buttons are somewhat recessed (more flush with the dash really) because the black housing that holds the assembly flexes. Piece of crap but I am not going to spend even more money to replace it now...
