Z-Tube and Dealer
generally they want it BONE STOCK. It doesn't matter if its a nissan part, theyll still deny it. TRUST ME.
just my word of advice, you NEVER know. I'm confident to say that MOST dealerships would not mind it.
Most dealerships wouldn't deny you a new engine due to an aftermarket exhaust, but this one did....strange! No one's going to give you a hard time because of the z-tube, chances are very good they wouldn't notice it....
Recently one of our members was going to take his G in for OC and he even had test pipes....we'll see how he does?

I have a lot of experience with dealers. Its true it does depend on the dealership, but worst case scenario just bring it back stock. Any mod you put on the car will be recorded in there system even if it does not have anything to do with the issue your having. later when you do have issues that tie in with the mod, they will bring up the fact that you had it on last time you came in and know about it. Bring the car in stock, not worth the headaches especially with such an easy mod to remove and replace and if they do try to wrong you, yes, contact corporate and tell them the issue and how it has no relation with the problem you are having and that dealership will kiss you azz next time you go in there. also i believe that the engine burning to much oil is an issue they already know about. good luck homie
Agreed, that's why I said that they may claim that the mod was for racing purposes, therefore the OC was caused by abused the car suffered being raced. I never said that Nissan part = HKS part.
so I took my car in, and they were going to do the test, they did a measurement and said the dip stick is only down 3mm, and its normal up to 6mm. Is this true? Because all my Toyota vehicles stay at the H for the whole time.

Heard many dealer stories from one extreme to the other concerning mods and OC issue. I demodded, but left my Z-tube and cat-back exhaust on. My dealer didn't bat an eye with those.
Long fwy/hwy trips will increase the OC rate as well. Older/more miles on oil will show increased OC rate (fuel dilution in oil from ring blow-by).

op, encorecestmoi's dealer tried to deny him of everything else he has.
ur lucky they didnt deny you.
i remember one of the members on here posted about being denied a new engine because he had HKS exhaust.
overall, take off everything that they COULD use against you.
