Anyone else do this other than me? I can manually rev match my 03 G 5AT G in triptronic by blipping the throttle in between down shifts. This makes my down shifts very nice and smooth instead of letting the motor and transmission pull the car itself into a downshift. Not to mention it sounds sick!

thescreensavers.. You have an 05 your AT already rev matches for you!!!

Nothing beats an MT though, I looooooooove rev matching in a MT G/Z feels amazing when you nail it every time.

I just downshift when the car is in proper rps so I never get no jerking.

Never tried rev matching.

The only time I get a jerk is when I come to a stop and it shifts down to 1 from 3rd.

What if you're trying to take a corner pretty quick or race or engine brake smoothly?

Say you're cruis 50 mph and you drop it in 2nd gear.. the car will engine brake hard and put strain on your tranny, plus it doesn't even feel good. You can quickly blip the throttle right when you downshift to land the perfect buttery smooth rev match.

I usually never down shirt below 3rd. But when I do I press the throttle at the same time when trany get's into a lower gear. So I'm spinning tires out of the corner before there is any jerk what so ever.

Rev Match FTW!
I just do it regularly out of habit now.
Never tried with auto though.
