does your seatbelt look like this:

i just noticed it the other day... is that normal how it's pushed up against the top of the seat? you can see a dark spot on the shoulder of the seat now from the seatbelt scratching against it.. and it makes a lot of noise too when im driving and if i move my arms/shoulder just a little bit... dont know when this started happening, pretty sure it wasnt like this before

Is your coupe a 2005 model year? Well they changed that in the 06 and 07 G35 coupes so that there is a plastic piece where it holds the belt on the corner where you have the dark spot.

But it is kind of annoying b/c now the belt is attached to the seat instead of the plastic arm. So if people want to sit in the back, you either have to take the belt out of the holder or the passengers have to go under the belt. Hope that makes sense.

i have an 03 coupe and my seat belt has been rubbing up against my leather seats. it looks like it's scratching my seats. on top of that, when i get in my car and close my door, if the seat belt is not up fully the latch will get caught between my door and my seat. i hear a clunk everytime the door hits the belt and i'm just hoping that i didn't put a hole in my door. does anyone else have this problem?

The only issue I have with our seatbelts is that they never retract 100% and even get caught in the door....

That rubbing sound is very annoying. I ended up reclining the seat slightly and now it no longer rubs against the seat.
