Bose, Subwoofer, & Spare Tire Questions
So I have a 4080 Box with a JLW6V2 and a JL 500/1 Amp. I also have the Bose sound system. Is it important to disconnect the 6x9 Bose subs or is it okay to just leave them plugged in? I read somewhere that the 6x9's will mess up the sound....if that's the case, is it possible to replace those 6x9's with additional speakers?
Also, I was told that it helps to have a spare tire in the trunk because it keeps the right amount of weight on the rear tires....is this true? Yea I know it would be hell for me to get a flat and not have a spare and all, so lets not bring that part up. Is it completely bad to not have the spare in their? I thought the weight savings would be better for performance and gas. Is this assumption wrong?
And if the rear is made for the 30-50lbs that the spare adds, wouldn't have a sub and amp back there negate the loss of the spare from the trunk?
And as soon as this is all installed I'll snap some pictures tomorrow with my latest mods:
20" Volk GT-C
Brembo's
Stoptech Slotted Rotors
4080 w/ JL Sub & Amp
Rear backup camera
MD VQ + XYZ Exhaust

you can remove it if you have some other way to deal with flats, or if you just dont care.
some people argue that 6x9 will be distorted by the bass but i just left mine in, if you arent pounding your sub all the time i would just leave them. plus taking them out doesnt give the holes to the interior that many people do it for as well.

you would be taking a big risk not having a spare, if you get a flat and a cop pulls up on you to help and you dont have the spare you could get a fine
by law you have to have a spare in your car
i think that for every 100lbs you decrease your mileage by 2%
so you wouldnt save much by taking it out
