New stopping POWER !!!!!
This weekend woked on a lil DIY project. New rotors and pads and painted calipers. Just pics. I have a DIY write up made up on another forum... with FULL details and Pics. If Mods will allow me i will link the DIY to this site as well.

i got them from STREET IMAGE out in cali. I bought them of a sponsor on another board. Price wise, the sponsor gave me a good deal on them and is in fact lower then some others out there. I was asked not to say it though. sorry.

How much do new rotors weigh compared to oem? The only gain will come from heavier rotors [thicker or better quality denser cast iron].
1mm [rotor face] of cast iron weights roughly 1/2 pound.
Many fancy aftermarkets maintain low production cost by thinning the metal and increasing air [vent thichness].......the weight drops and they pay by the pound.
You can estimate performance [rotor temperature] quite accurately by the rotor weight..........a pound difference is SIGNIFICANT even 8 ounces!
Temperature rise is a direct function of rotor weight! Holes slots other than out gassing do little for temperature control......the do however allow steam in wet braking to exit easier.

StopTYech rotors are freaking heavy. I was really surprised by it. All 4 rotors according to UPS shipping where 65lbs. I didnt put them on the scale, but i defenetly think it was around that much.
