About to do an oil change, how many quarts of oil do i need?

 

As much as it says in the OWNERS MANUAL!!!!!

yea, dont think it says the number of quarts in the owners manual

 

4.48 Liters

 

It seems that our engines secretly burn some oil. I've never been able to drain anything more than 4 quarts. I change religiously at the proper intervals. So, I always put in 4.5 quarts. I give it a quick run and leave it. Wait five hours to let all the oil drain out of the dip stick chamber so you can actually read it. Then determine how much of the remaining .5 quarts you should put in.

i usually put 5 quarts, but this past time, i put in 6?i checked the dipstick a several times...

is too much bad?

 

Yes it is! It ends up building too much pressure and can cause a leak. If you can, I would try to drain some of that out. You may be okay b/c the seals are new n fresh, but if you did it on a car with higher miles, it could be trouble.

I wasn't trying to be a Richard......I was kidding...
But for the rest of you.......I don't think I have ever seen an Owners Manual that did not give you capacities for fluids like oil!!!!
Check out page 10-2 : "Capacities & Recommended Fuel/Lubricants/Fluids"

oh I have a question.... how do i adjust the seat? =P

Speaking of "a$$ comfort" does anyone ever accidentally hit the heat button for the front seat?

 

I probably did a few times, but I think our heated seats are pretty much usless! Even on the hot setting it takes about 20 minutes to get warm, but you can still barely feel it. I have been in other cars where the heat comes up within the first minute and is extremely hot on high. They kinda make ya feel like you lost all control after a night of heavy drinking and about 10 white castles! SWAMP ****!!! I wish our heated seats at least worked!

Hell yeah.....
It was around 95 yesterday and I get in the car and am sweating my butt off.....saying Damn..it's HOT!
Butt is sweating.....look down, and the seat heater is on.
That is exacley where I rest my hand whild driving!
I'm going to try and relocate mine....and put the VDC switch where they are now.
