reverse light melted

has anybody else had this problem? the silver reflective stuff around my reverse light has melted off of the plastic housing onto the bulb

i know what caused it.... i always leave it in reverse when i park it at my place and when i turn the key to the on position to listen to music while im cleaning the inside or something, the reverse lights come on since its in gear..... because it's on for an extended time, it melted

but im taking it into the dealer. i expect they will replace it under warranty (they better)

You shouldn't leave your car in ON, use ACC.

It is hard on not only your battery, but every other system that runs while the car is ON.

The reason ACC exists is so you can use your accessories without putting strain on the rest of the systems.

i probably end up with it in the ON position because i needed to roll down the windows

what kind of systems does it stress by being in the ON position?

Why do you leave it in reverse? what would you do if the e-brake slipped and it kicked into gear and just reversed out of your driveway down the street?
