Made a leather trunk pull

I got annoyed with the fact that there is no trunk pull in this car while my last three all had them. It's nice not having to grab a dirty trunk with clean hands and getting your hands dirty and scratching the paint all in one swoop; over and over and over again.

So I went with a rugged bag style handle design. I used a nice black leather to create it and chrome D rings to connect it to the tabs. The tabs are held to the trunk using a plastic dry wall anchor system going though existing holes that were previously occupied by plastic plugs that hold the liner on. If I wanted to remove it, you would never know it was there. The screws were then covered with black caps for a clean install.

Speaking of plastic plugs, I'm missing a number of them on that liner. Anyone have an idea where I can pick some up without breaking the bank?

While I was add it I adjusted the nut under the driver's seat to pick up about 3/4" of headroom which is nice. And I also reshaped and wrapped my steering wheel in leather and suede and did the same to a Porsche 996 shifter before thowing it on as well. I'll do the same to the e-brake and armrest when I update to an '03.5+ console this winter. I think the console, OEM GPS and adding an iphone connection are my next steps.

Definitely a unique mod.

You can get those plugs/tabs online at Riverside Infiniti's Ebay store.

Here you go. 10 for $8.95

Looks great. I've been trying to think of a solution for myself as well.

Any way we could see some close ups of the steering wheel?

Nice job. I was about to tackle this as well. Since everytime I'm around my friend with his G sedan trunk pull I hate him lol.

This is before I lowered the height of the shifter. It now sits an inch lower like in the first pic.

That steering wheel is looking hot. Nicely done. I need to do this I don't like the orange stitching on the steering wheel.
