Is this Ideal for the G35c?
I will be purchasing a G35c before going back to school. I live in Miami, but I go to school in Atlanta. All in all, the trip is about 10hrs (approx. 700mi). I was thinking that this road trip might be ideal for breaking in the G...But at second thought, for the majority of the trip I will be going basically one sustained speed. Can that potentially be bad for the break-in period???
Is there anything I should make sure I should do to the G in preparation for the road trip as well?
Input would be very much appreciated.

Re: Is this Ideal for the G35c?
i drove quite a few highway miles when i first got my g, but when i did so i varied the speed and gears as much as i could and i drove it fairly gingerly. at any rate i had it dynoed earlier this year with a z-tube and ended up pulling 237.7whp. so it seems that i did an ok job with breaking it in.

Long trips with extended periods of constant speeds can be particularly bad for break-in. If you can help it, drive something else for the trip. Perhaps buy the car when you get there.
If you decide to go anyways, do vary speeds. You want to moderately load the engine to allow the rings to wear away at the cylinder walls a bit. Not so much that you build up too much heat on the walls. You also want to decelerate by coasting for long periods so that the cylinders will see a high vacuum and suck out the metal particles created during break-in that get lodges in the grooves of the cylinder walls. Avoid accelerating hard in the higher gears. This puts more load for longer periods and could build up too much heat in the cylinder walls. Too much heat can break down the oil and cause glazing.

Also, when you guys say varying speeds, what range are you speaking of? Should I be driving at 70 for a few minutes, then drop down to 50, and then reaccelerate to 70 again? I'm just trying to be sure, because it seems like this road trip can be damaging to my car.
