I need good fitment is the biggest issue. I'm not ready to buy just yet, trying to sell some vehicles first and I get my bonus at work the beginning of January. But thanks, all advice and input is appreciated.

No vinyl overlay will look like real carbon fiber.

maybe carbon fiber cloth but im not sure how it will hold up with weather

Last time I had something cf that didn't have the hardener It got all white and discolored. Had a really nice fiber images hood that flew up on my car cause my dumb*ss didn't latch it right and it slammed into the windshield. The hood flexed and there was virtually no damage. It's amazing what good quality cf can endure

imo, carbon roof overlays are kinda rice. not that carbon is rice or the fact that having good quality carbon is rice. but the fact that you're putting it over your regular roof just for looks is rice. point of carbon roof is to lower the center weight of gravity (like m3), but you're actually making it heavier (although it's only a little). so much money for such a non-functional piece.

^I guess everybody here with an aftermarket bumper is rice. People actually buy things because they like how they look and they only way a pound or two. If you have a CF hood and trunk it really completes the look imo. You really need a cage with a carbon fiber roof so the weight savings are probably nill unless you need a cage anyways.

I want a fast car but not one I'm afraid of. Haha no cages in my future. Me+rwd+needing a cage=not good. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion on the matter, but if I'm going to put cf hood and trunk on it anyway I think it would look better to have the roof cf ( overlay or not) than to just paint it black. IMO I haven't truly riced out a car since I owned a Honda... Opinions appreciated though

Dude if the M3's was a full carbon fiber roof... the car would need a cage... and it wouldn't even be street legal

The M3's roof is pretty much what this is but from the factory.
