Oh well. Maybe the dealership will have several options available, they usually do.

Rim...YIKES! Rear of the sedan...me no likie...plus the body has seemed to be slightly changed...I really don't like the sedan at all...The cap you talk of I think is the keyless ignition...

Um..is it me...or does the wheel well gap seem larger? I don't like it...sits much higher than the 04 and 03...

I believe the key (or cap) is the intellikey system, where the ignition unlocks when the key is in close proximity. That's what it looks like..

They aren't putting the 19's on the Sedan anyway are they so that's probably another clue that these are 18's(?)

The new colors are nice but I'm still happy I got the TB the one year they made it...

04, TB/W, Nav, Aero, 6MT, etc...

 

That ignition does look like the intelligent key system. That's would be a sweet option I wish I had on my 04 coupe. My wife's FX35 has it and I like it a lot.

As for the 05 updates, I don't really dig those rims either. At least compared to the current 18" rims. The interior looks good, although other than the real aluminum and the new ***** on the climate control and stereo, I actually like the current dash/shifter area layout better. Not sure how I feel about the new "mail slot" with the Infiniti clock in it. I guess I'll have to see it in person.

i agree. i was thinking the same thing too. also, from the pics, if i compare with other coupe pics with 19" wheels, those on the 2005 do appear a tad smaller. i just hope if we're correct, the new 19's are more deep dish : )

 

Anyone notice the sedan now has a trunj release on the left hand side in the form of a key hole? Great improvement!

The rear tail lamps on the sedan I still need to get used to. Right now it looks like a Jaguar or a Hyundai Sonata. I don't suppose I could design a better looking twin-ring LED in the housing space that's currently there though.

Overall I gotta say Infiniti did a great job updating the G35, especially the sedan. The new Coupe color is alright, looks very common to me. The new rims I have already seen in person and am not very impressed with them. I am dying to see a 2005 G35C 6MT Performance model, I might actually trade in for one. (if they'd custom paint it CB)

 

 

Thanks for the pics. The gold piece in the brakes pic is the plate for the brake pads. Looks to be a 2 piston sliding caliper now, with a larger rotor.

I like the center console, but the area around the guages/ignition looks really cheap with that color plastic.

The sedan looks way better than before imo. The lights and the fact that it has no more black molding under it helps alot. The interior is alot better also. I hope there is a way to change our current center consoles to the way the 05 ones look

 

i like the ignition switch out of all upgrades.

 

Does anyone know the exact release date of the coupe so we can all see these improvements (other than the wheels; hopefully the 19s look better) in person? I know the auto comes out in October, but when in October?
