Love the new interior, I'm a little jealous myself. The new rims, ehh not for me, Im more of a mesh rim guy myself. New colors, ehh they dont really do it for me. The Exterior of the sedan....dont like it. I liked how there were slighty body differences between the sedan and coupe, now theyre gone. The taillights look great, but, I prefer the rows of LED's....but damn that black interior looks sweet.

Well since not one person has said it, I will go out on a limb and say I Love the new rims! The official first pics showed some very boring rims, these are great! Looking forward to getting an '05 6-speed Sport with the 19".

 

i don't know what rim pics you are referring to as "official" the pics infiniti put out in early june (infinitinews) are exactly identical to these (the sedan pic that is) and those pics in june were the first official pics from infiniti on the 05 g35s.

 

I am talking about the "official" pics of the coupe released on June 3rd. Those are some very boring rims vs. the ones on the sedan which match the above pics.

unfortunatly we do not know what all the rims look like for the coupe, since there could be three different ones (17", 18", and the sport 19"s).

The preliminary order spec for 2005 g35's has on it that the 18" tire upgrade (option T01 TIR), available for the base auto coupe, comes with 7 spoke rims.

 

I'm going Nucking Futs here!!! I really want to buy a new car, cause mine is depreciating like crazy, but I don't know if I should wait for the 05's or not, I was hoping the 19's would look similar to the 18's just an inch bigger, the new 18's look like junk, IMO. And I'm wondering if there going to fix the way the BOSE stereo is hooked up so I don't have to spend an extra $300 to put in an aftermarket stereo plus completely void my warrenty. Damn Nissan, they have real pics I'm sure but they're just keeping us hanging on a thread.

I just got my 2004 G35 Coupe 6MT a little over a week ago with the help of a friend that works for Nissan - hooked it up BIG with the 'Friends and Family' discount.

Anyways, he gave me some insight on the new 2005 G35 Coupe. According to him, they are dropping the Brembo brakes from the Coupe because Infiniti claims that their brakes will work just as well. By dropping the Brembo name, they will save money which he says they put back into improving the interior of the car.

I dont know now; Brembo or improved interior? inside vs. outside looks. Without the Brembo, what for have that increase HP? have to look good with the outside too. It's just a rumor right?

I dont like the sedan at all, thank god for my 03 sedan, the coupe looks the same, thanx god for that, I was thinking of getting one, but thought should get the 04 since I can geta good discount on it now, hp incr I can compensate for after adding a supercharger or something later on when I think i might need to be faster..I like the new interior color of the leather..this is not willow, a lot of yellow is in it..nice stuff...I prefer my sedan tail lights..like the led setup there..anyhow I think the alloys are nice but not the best, If I were to buy the car, the first thing I would have done anyways would be to replace with some nice wheels..

I hope they keep the coupe the same for few years to come...or atleast until I have finally got it home...

 

im not sure whos right anymore. yesterday i went to the infiniti dealer to look at the coupe. i thot it would make me feel better looking at it with my mom because my friend backed up into 91 camry which just had a paint job a year ago with his f-150. i was right, it did make me feel a lot better. i guess the G can do that to a person. anyways i was asking him a bunch of questions about the 05 and the brakes were one of them. he said they were being kept in the dark and hasnt heard anything about dropping the brembos. he doesnt have any idea why they would either. o ya, he said autos come out october which i knew, but the manuals are to be pushed back to february. i got kind of mad when he said that. but he put me on the email list and he said he would send brochures as soon as they get them.

 

Even if I wanted the manual, (which I don't cause of the traffic in my city), I think I would have to bail out just knowing they are mess'n with something they finally got to work right.
