Long trip experience

I just wanted to get some thoughts from people who have taken long road trips. My buddy and I are thinking of taking the G 800 miles from Denver to Vegas. Im sure everything will be fine, but hey, we baby our cars and the thought of putting any strain on it bugs me. Should I just get a fresh oil change before hand (im half way to the next one and we're leaving in 3 weeks) and maybe rotate the tires when I get back? Also, anyone live in/near death valley? How does it perform in heat and at sea level. Im anxious to see if it performs better than it does here a mile high.

Thanks!

I took a road trip with 3 friends last year, 1300 miles round trip. I'm doing the same trip next weekend. Enjoy your car.

Drove from NC to Canada, around 900 miles, with no problems. I had a few more paint chips in the hood when I got back, but I was prepared for that.

I don't think you can rotate the G's tires since the rear are a different size and switching the front would be pointless. But an alignment might not be a bad idea.

Um...if u wanna prevent chips...and make cleaning ur car easier when u get back home. My company sells a product that u spray onto the car and it drys and leaves a hard coating that will protect the car from bugs and dirty and small rocks. Then when u to ur destination...spray ur car with water...or wipe it down with water and waH la! clean car...no dirty no bugs nothing. The coating last for about 3 days max. And when u leave to go home u gotta apply it again. But it helps alot. Other places sell this too...but its harder to find...we supply this to car manufactors..

The saying that says, "All the hours your G spends parked, you don't get those hours back." You already have the clear bra on for protection, so I'd say go for it and enjoy it.
But, I would change the oil again before I would leave.

He can speak for himself, but I think his "duh" was self-inflicted for forgetting about the (non) tire rotation thing, not directed at you.

I think you forgot to tell us how to find out more about your product, like with a link or something. Sounds like a good thing for long trips...

Re: Long trip experience

Just took my car from St. Louis MO to Nashville TN and back yesterday 295 miles each way (gotta love NAV) with no problems. Turned 10,500 miles on the way back. Have the Infiniti bra and came back with zero marks. Of course I was up at 6:00am this morning cleaning the car.
Don't worry about things just go drive it!
