Kenstyle Rear Foam Absorbent Delete or Paint???

My KS kit is all painted and was being installed yesterday. When i stopped by to take a look at the car, i was pretty disappointed at the rear because of the foam that i can see on the left and right sides of the meshes.

the shop said that if they delete the absorbent then my KS rear will be much more easier to crack and it would be risky.

they also told me that they can actually paint that part black so that it wouldn't be really noticeable but i dont know...

any opinions?

What the hell do they mean by "much more easier to crack"? Its fiberglass, so if you hit it, it'll crack with or without the foam.

I deleted mine, even if you paint it its still visible especially at nights when the lights from other vehicles hit it, and it looks tacky as hell.

I would keep it in if someone hits you its going to crack your kit regardless but it might help absorb a collision that could cause frame damage or your car caving in.

+1 , its there for a reason...

say some1 slams into you going 60 mph, ur receiving the same impact to your car. the cushion (absorbant) will take that impact and shoot it back at the car.
hint the name "absorbant"
ANY accident you get in will crack ur bumper regardless whether it is a big or little one.
the main issue is do you want to sacrafice safety for looks?

your question actually changed my thought again. Ill just paint it and deal with it. safety is first , my life > my car

Paint the bar if it bothers you, or better yet have the shop fiberglass the two holes closed. Someone on the board did this and it looked infinitely better, kind of like a super aggressive Chargespeed rear.

But like everyone else said, don't cut it off. That's an impact support for the rear of your car.

i would cut the ends off of it. i work at a auto body shop and those rear impact absorbers are really sh!tty. if i drop it from like 5 feet they crack and break. kind of worthless if ask me. but its all up to you!!
