60k mile service
I'm laggin...at 63k and probably won't be able to do anything till next week or 3 weeks later. Prob just take it to my local mechanic that will do it for super cheap. I'll buy all the fluids though... unless I'm not lazy and just do it all myself.
You don't need to have everything on the service advisors sheet done, but to maintain your warranty some things like fluid changes need to be completed on trans/diff and radiator. You could have an independent shop complete some of the services or Nissan like I did....

ok, diff dealerships are diff with what all they do in their "major" services. at bradshaw infiniti....we do:
-oil service
-belts
-wipers
-air filter
-cabin filter
-coolant service
-transmission service
-rotate & balance the wheels
-lube all hinges, window guides, latches
-full inspection of battery/alternator, suspension, brakes, lights, etc upon service
ive noticed in some histories of other cars that have been to other dealerships that they wont change the fluids...like i said....each dealership is a lil different.

It's a wonder you didn't have antenna service on this list....it used to be!Gary
well im not a service writer, im a technician...i believe the majors go around $600 though. so you're saying at 60k (if you havent replaced the above items before) that they aren't needed? a rotate and balance OR rotate (if you have staggered wheels) is helpful being that atleast a wheel or 2 will be out of balance atleast every 7500 miles. and at 60k, your belts would be close to falling off, your wipers would streak like ****, and the maintenance and lubing is all preventative maintenance as is all the filters and such. yes i agree the price is high. the mark-up on the parts alone are high. im not disagree'n at all since i work there. but you wouldn't believe the amount of cars ive seen that have had maintenance work done elsewhere....you get what you pay for in a sense.
My Car has 60K miles on it, and I have been doing regular oil changes, but is it recommended to go to a synthetic blend from now on? I have seen reference to Synthetic Oil in many threads. Can someone please comment.
Fvck the stealerships!!!
They're the reason I've spent many hours on the weekends learning about this car so I was able to do the majority of the maintenance/upgrades myself. It would be cheaper to go to a Nissan dealership but I recommend either doing it yourself or find a small local shop that has experience working on these cars.

what belts should be replaced for the 60K? can i use nissan parts? i bought the nissan v belt 11920-AG900 and belt fan 11720-4P102. are there other belts i need to replace? and any recommendation on fluids for the 60K. i heard amsoil and mobil 1 EP was good.
I just had a 4 wheel alignment done at the nissan dealership for $69.99. Brought my own mobil 1 oil and filter and had it changed for $20 bucks. Had both my belts changed at a local Europeon car shop for $107 where the Infinity dealership wanted to charge me $150 plus tax to change one belt. Bought 2 new Kumho Ecsta SPT tires for $368 mouted and balanced. The Infinity dealer said it was time for the 60k service costing $586 but a lot of the stuff you can do yourself or have a local shop to do. Besides car sales the money is made in the maintenance department so don't always depend on them to be honest. I have most of my work done at a Nissan dealership instead of Infinity.
