early signs of slippling clutch?

I know the signs of a slipping clutch...my question is more that of if and what are the early signs of a slipping clutch. I have asked a few people, and all have said, well, once it starts slipping, then you know. Are there any signs or indicators to watch out for before you get to the "slip"?

I am kinda paranoid when it comes to this car and the clutch, I want to be ready when it goes out and not have it catch me with my pants down...any thoughts?

As I've heard many times, it's either good or it's not. Can't really tell before , unless it starts slipping. Just make sure you don't rev it with the clutch in at the stop light like some idiots, if you downshift make sure to rev match not just let the clutch slowly out, and at stop lights leave it in neutral (don't leave it in gear with the clutch in, it'll wear out some bearings). All useful things I've heard.

man, i kinda wish there was a way to tell...I have synchro issue with 3rd, it's not bad yet, but eventually will ahve to be...i kinda want the clutch to go out (if it's going to at all) when the 4rd gear synchro does, that way I can knock out two birds with one stone while the tranny is out

If and when it happens you'll know. No need to worry about in the meantime. It's not like it's going to suddenly start slipping and leave you on the side of the road.
