I'm checking out owner's manuals on ebay and they make a distinction between 2004 and 2004.5 models. How do I check what mine is?

Also, any caveats for buying owners manual on CD? He says they are by Infiniti. thx

if your vin is over 800000 then it's a 2004.5

Different 5AT shift ****, different ECU. The 4.5 is a ULEV2.

2004.5 Coupe/5AT/Ivory/Everything but front spoiler/Nismo CAI/Crawford V5/Crawford Cats

 

The ECU was changed so that the car would meet more strict emissions ratings.

I'm think the ratings went from LEV to ULEV (or something like that). I also heard (from a very reliable source) that the 2004.5's got another 15rwhp just like the 2005's, but this fact was not publicly acknowledged. [img]/w3timages/icons/tongue.gif[/img]

HP Increase??? Really.... who was the source? I have a 04.5 6MT and I am curious if the HP is 280 or 295? What about torque?

I too have a 2004 and someone told me that they a different shifter(5AT) on the 2004.5, other than that i'm not sure.

No, I just made up the extra 15 hp thing to have a little fun. Notice how -fish beat me to the ULEV2 post by 1 darn minute... story of my life.
