Gas Milage

Hello all, I'm in the process of possibly buying a G35 this week, can you give me some feed back as far as what kind of gas milage you all are getting? I've heard stories about not getting close to what the dealer says it should get so just curious.
Thanks
J

Re: Gas Milage

On average, i get about 20-21 mpg. Around 375 miles per tank before i re-fuel. I've never really tried running it down to empty and have never pumped more than 19 gallons in the car.

I drive 50+ miles each way to and from work.
100+ easily a day.
Half the time i'm crusin, the other is bumper to bumper.

Re: Gas Milage

If I baby it, I can get around 23-24mpg, but thats mostly highway miles at about 70-75 mph.

I never go below a 1/4 tank, but I think from my averages, I could get about 450-460 miles on a tank......

Re: Gas Milage

i usually average around 16-19 mpg.. my commute involves highway driving, but i do a lot of city driving too.. don't expect good mileage from this car..

Re: Gas Milage

I think a large part of one's mileage is due to:

1. city vs highway
2. use of AC
3. length of trip (really short trips will kill your mileage)
4. how often you accelerate and brake

You can get better mileage by:
1. turn off AC or use econ mode at least
2. keep windows closed on freeway
3. accelerate and brake gradually
4. shift under 3000 rpm

But what fun is that? :P

Re: Gas Milage

my avg on my last tank jumped from 15 to 19. that got me very happy.

when i use econ mode for the AC, it usually blows the fans more than what i need, would that decrease my mpg than if i were to set the fan manually?
