Hey Guys, I bought a secondary Intelligent Key/Remote from Ebay as when I bought my car I only got 1.

I finally got around to bringing the car to infiniti today and while they got boths keys/remotes to work I have a constant red (key) light and the P (UP) shift light on as soon as I turn the key and it wont go off ever.

Obviously they didnt program something right but what could it be? It does that on both the original and new key/remote.

Also if I get out with the remote and close the door the car beeps 3 times.

I'm puzzled, I'm going to take it back tomorrow but I'd like to know why its doing them as I am not so sure theyll know. They called me today as if I had some security system on it like lo jack as they were having problems.

 

Well I assumed this would be the place to come for help but I guess I was wrong.

 

Since the 1st gen G35s didn't have intelligent keys not a lot of people have experience with it and that is why no replies. You should take it back to the dealer and tell us what happens.

 

i get the red key thing when my car doesnt pick up the ikey signals but soon as it does i can turn the car over and about the 3 beep thing i think its normal cause its like a warning beep that your car is still on???

 

Thats not it BlaccG35 but thanks for the suggestion. My car would show the red light and red shift to park light even before i turned it on and it never turned off.

Anyway just picked up the car they say the ignition was shorted out? Either way no red lights and I got my car back YIPPIE!
