Breaks Help

Hey guys i recently got my brake pads changed on my 2004 coupe with brembo's.. i got this done about a month ago and the place were i got it done said my rotors didn't need to be replaced just yet but i've been noticing a very loud squeaking sound when i am coming to a stop. Would this be my rotors?? and if so should i just got the regular rotors that come with the brembo brakes or should i get a diffrent kind?? any help would be greatly appreciated..

there are few different causes for brake squeal. the shims may not be on right, pads may not be on right. it could be the "lip" thats left on the rotor because the pads didnt reach the very edge(check DaveB for a thread where he did a write-up about this).

Squeal usually comes down to:
- Brake pads didn't include anti-noise shims, or the shims were not reinstalled with the new pads
- Not enough anti-squeal lube was put on the sides and back of the pads when installed
- The rotors are worn below minimum spec, but this is less likely than the two above

....^....That's correct information, go back to where they did the install and have them check out what information you now have....shims or not using correct lube on backside of the pads. Did they turn the rotors, that would eliminate the lip nghiars is refering to?

What kind of pads did you have them put on? Some pads squeak more than others.

However, the most likely cause is that they didn't use any or enough of the anti-squeal goo on the rear of the pad and backing plate/shim.
