just got this yesterday

its a 06 G35 with aero package and 19" stock rims. Has 34K. My first G35.

The tires are almost worn out. I was looking at maybe getting the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus: http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/fin...Form&rc=CEBINT

Has anyone driven these tires before? I need a all season tire. I dont want to spend any more money than these. Any suggestions?

I also want to change the transmission fluid with oem fluid. Does any recommend other brands?

Any recommendations for the rear differential fluid?

Probably replace the plugs too.

suggestions welcomed! Thanks

Welcome to Driver HoJo....!

Nice find, an '06 with only 35K on the clock. The Michelin tires you chose will work very well, you can't go wrong with Michelin's ever! I would use 245s both front and back for a more stable ride and control, 225 in the front are too small. You could take your new G to an independent shop and have them change out the trans/diff fluids with synthetics like Red Line just use the recommended weights. You'll notice an immediate difference in how smooth everything works with Red Line synthetics...Welcome & Good Luck!

I didnt realize 245's will fit on the front. Thanks for that info!

Has anyone ever had bad experience with using non-oem fluids like redline?

There's a DIY somewhere around here for changing the diff and trans fluid. It's a relatively simple task and will save you a good bit of money. IMO there is not need to take it to the shop for something like that.

Thanks! I have wanted one since 03, and been seriously looking for the past year. Just saw this on craigslist on friday, got approved saturday morning at 10. Needed to get the car to my bank for them to see before noon, got it there at 11:45 and sealed the deal! It all happened so quick. Now I have a big perma-grin My birthday gift to myself, haha

I put the Michelin A/S tires on about 2 months ago and have nothing but praise for them. They are about a grand but well worth it, plus aren't many other choices for A/S tires in our size.

I used Amsoil 75W-90 in my differential and it was an easy swap. As the others have said there are a lot of threads in the drivetrain forums on how do it but 15 mins is all it takes.

Hojo, when switching to Red Line synthetic fluids just check your owners manual or the stickers under your hood for the recommended weights. (no issues ever) Your coupe's going to love the change/upgrade!
