'07 6MT whirring, clattering sound

Hello all,
I own an '07 G35 coupe with a stick shift which I've had for 2 1/2 years and only put 11,600 miles on it. I recently moved cross country and drove it 2400 miles in four days. It performed just fine on the trip. However, a couple of days after arriving in Reno NV, I start hearing an annoying whirring, clattering sound that comes and goes as I shift up and down through the gears and as I accelerate/deccelerate for about the first 10 or 15 minutes after starting it up each day. The sound eventually fades out and doesn't happen again until it has been sitting shut off for awhile. It happens every day when I first start it up and it sounds awful until it fades out. With no Infiniti dealer in Reno, I took it to the Nissan dealership and they couldn't figure out the problem. Other than the awful noise after startup, it seems to run fine, but the noise is getting worse. Anyone have a similar issue?

its just the clutch... its normal because i asked my infiniti dealer too.. try pushing the clutch down then there should be a sound of clattering, even when pushing it down when turning off the car

It's definitely not the clutch, and it's definitely not normal. It sounds just awful for the first 10 or 15 minutes after I start driving, and it doesn't correspond to when I am working the clutch or not. It's also getting worse by the day, so it looks like I'll have to make the long drive to Sacramento where the nearest Infiniti dealership is.

Since your car is under warranty, why not take it to a dealer and let them diagnose it as opposed to a collage of shadetree mechanics.

Well guess what - there is no dealership in Bowmanville so I have to drive 45 minutes to the nearest Infiniti dealer or 25 minutes to the nearest Nissan dealer....and yes Nissan will be able address G issues.
