Speed-sensing steering

I just purchased a 2006 G35 and they listed Speed-sensing steering as an option it has.

What is that? Is it the active steering system?

It`s already there. I don`t care for it really. But it doesn`t specifically say active steer system - but "speed sensing steering". I had never seen that as a G35 option before.

I just looked it up. It`s not the active steer system but rather a servotronic. It`s a fancier power steering system that takes speed into account.

it makes the steering looser at higher speeds and tighter at lower speeds.

Increase power steering assist at lower speeds and decrease power steering assist lower on highway or turn itself off?? If it is cars have had it for years.
