Automatically turn off VDC at start up - Totally KILL VDC!

KPtechnologies (www.KPtechnologies.com) is gearing up to release a new and improved revision to the very popular SM20 Switch Memory module!

The SM20 will retain it's original great feature - the ONLY smart VDC / TCS controller on the market that ONLY shuts VDC / TCS off if YOU had it off when the car was shut off (hence the Memory name).

In addition to remembering how you left the car, the new and improved SM20 has an AUX output that is toggled by pushing the VDC / TCS button twice quickly! This output can be used to KILL VDC completely by disrupting power to the yaw sensor! This means you can have Total Control of YOUR vehicle and drive with VDC / TCS on, with VDC / TCS off, or with VDC completely eliminated all from the OEM switch!

If you are simply looking for an elegent way to turn any device on and off this module isn't limited to killing the VDC system - the (-) 200mA AUX output can control ANY device that can be controlled with a standard automotive relay!

Best of all, there will be ZERO price increase for the new functionality! The module will remain available for only $39.99 available at http://www.kptechnologies.com/products.php#/4

To utilize the AUX output for Yaw sensor disable or for any other function you will need an A-SPDT relay (or any other standard automotive relay). The KPtechnologies A-SPDT is availble through the KPtechnologies website for only $9.99 and that includes the wiring harness!

The new module should be up on the site in the next few days. If there is enough interest we will run a group buy for the new product (with relay). Please post up if you are intersted in a group buy.

The Group Buy price (module plus relay) would be $32.49 (before shipping) if we can get 20 people to purchase the product!

The original module remembered what the previous setting was, now it "eliminates" VDC.
I don't get it. Hit it twice, and you can never turn it back on?

From the factory the VDC can never be completely shut off. During aggressive driving, even with VDC turned "off", the VDC system will still make adjustments to try and prevent a total loss of control.

To override this people have been disconnecting the yaw sensor, disconnecting the brake fluid sensor plug, or pulling a fuse out (that also kills brake lights). These things cause the system to fault out and therefore be completely, 100% disabled. This module has the ability to facilitate these things by supplying a switched output. Since the switched output is triggered from the VDC button it feels OEM and you don't have to install another switch inside the cabin (or take the car apart each time you want to unplug the sensor.

So even tho pushing the button turns it off, the yaw sensor overrides the user input.
Makes a lot of sense now!
With your new module, pushing it twice fast turns it totally off. And repeating the process turns it back on?
That's some great electronics skills. My knowledge stops with LED's, resistors, and transistors.

Is the install different from the original VDC memory module? I got that one a few months ago and it works awesome... might have to upgrade

We are planning on offering some sort of upgrade. Most likely, it will be a "buy the relay and pay for shipping and we'll do the upgrade for free" type deal.

Once the system is faulted out the only way to reset it is to turn the car off and then back on. But, the theory is correct - if you push the button again twice quickly it will deenergize the relay.

This particular module has a central 1.2mhz processor, a full automotive grade 5vdc power supply section, and then input and output circuitry required to interface with the OEM electronics. All of our modules are engineered and manufactured in house in the Dayton, Ohio area!

Alright, this product can now be purchased through our website:

http://www.kptechnologies.com/products.php#/4

It's the SM20.

Please remember that if you plan to use the AUX output you need to get a A-SPDT relay as well!
