Why your G35c color???
Re: Why your G35c color???
I have another dark color car that's hard to keep clean, so I want an easier to maintain color for my G coupe. There are too many silver cars on the road & too many Diamond graphite G coupes as well. So I pick IP, which looks very sharp.

Re: Why your G35c color???
My daily POS transport is black, and it's too damn hot in the summertime, not to mention to cleaning issues. The heat alone (several months of 98-105 degree temps in the summer is the norm) is pretty much the sole reason why I'm going with IP. That and the fact that the IP will go with my cosmetic plans for my '05 6MT.
Considered DG, but it may be a little too low-key for me. It does look real nice though! I don't think that any new colors of interest will be in store for the '05s, so IP is likely it for me.
Had a red sports car for 6 years. Never again. lol I do also like the burgandy that the 350Z has available. Looks very nice and it's close to the color of my old '97 Mitsu. GSX. Still, it's a dark color that shows swirls.
'05 IP(or ?) 6MT... ...Never too soon to think about modifications!!

This is my third black car .. so I am used to detailing black (been doing so for 13 years) and I kinda like detailing my cars. When cleaned, waxed and buffed... oh yeah!!!

Re: Why your G35c color???
It was never a question for me....DG looks dead sexy on the G35. I like TB but that and black are hard to keep clean. IP is nice too. CB and LR seem out of place on the G.
My friend got a WRX in what I call "appliance white". It's flat white w/out any metallic. I like the car itself but it looks so plain and gross because of the paint they bought from GE or Maytag. I think black is the best color for the WRX.

Re: Why your G35c color???
I'm too in the same shoes - deciding which color to get:
Lliving in L.A., I see A LOT of coupes and about 80% are all DG. I think that color looks great in the sun, but as soon as there is some overcast it looks very dull. Had one in my workplace garage and under dull light it just does not look right.
Black - my g/f QX4 is hard to keep it clean, even though its the best color for the G
Red - too much attention and flashy
So the choices for me are:
IP - looks classy (I wonder if it is hard to keep clean). I also heard that some cars turn yellowish after a year or so.
BS - also common (not with as much as coupes but the rest of the car world) - but a safe choice
New grayish/blue - have to see it in person.
So for me those are the 3 colors to consider. I also want to see the gray leather interior.

Re: Why your G35c color???
I went with Ivory Pearl...
I love it... I think it looks clean, classy, sophisticated, and sporty all at the same time.
However, I will say that it is not easy to keep clean... I do have a special car duster that I use every day to wipe the rear bumper and trunk area down. But, when it is clean, it is CLEAN.
With the way my car is modified, I also picture my G35/Skyline as if it is hovering really low above the ground, like a cloud.... or, as Sukairain (thanks for the compliment Steven!) so aptly put it, it resembles an Angel with wings....
It's like having a little piece of heaven, here on earth....
But hey, in my mind... all G's are a thing of beauty!!

Re: Why your G35c color???
I went with IP because of several reasons:
- White is cooler temp-wise. Sun is harsh here and white allows for keeping the car's temp cooler.
- Darker tint on windows (required to keep interior temps lower) contrasts well with the IP color.
- The IP white is a classy presentation that jumps out at you.....not that the other colors don't do the same thing, but to me the IP is just crisp, clean, and classy.
I agree with the G354GOD in that a carduster to wipe the tailend off is a must.

Re: Why your G35c color???
The following is my personal opinion and these are my reasons for not getting anything else other than the DG:
BO - I think black takes away the lines of the car as well as very hard to maintain (was my wife's favorite color, but since she was not going to be the one who will be cleaning the car, her opinion didn't really count - plus she said it's going to be my car anyways, so I could pick whatever color I want).
LR - Not a red car type, unless it's a Ferrari....
CB - Too cheesy... (sorry Afro), they should have marketed the G with the "Daytona Blue" color they have on the Z.
BS - Nice color, but doesn't have the "WOW" factor, plus my previous car was a 2000 Maxima with the same color so I wanted something different.
DP - Nice color too, but not for a sports car - too soft in my opinion.
TB - Very nice color, but then again, a bit too dark, plus when I ordered my car (back in 03), there wasn't a single TB coupe on the lot to take a look at and get a personal impression.
All in all, DG was the best looking color, kind'a Gun metal, that looks great in the sun and hides dirt very efficiently.
Again, the above is only my personal opinion and it was not meant to bash anybody's car - we all have the damn best looking cars on the road no matter what color they are...

Re: Why your G35c color???
Simple. I've always wanted a dark blue car.
My first car was a Civic, and they USED to have a blue version. Well, in '98 there were no blues so I had to settle for green (which was a nice green...R.I.P Civic). So when the G35 came out, I wanted a dark blue one. No go first year so I waited. Then a friend of mine goes "have you seen what color the 04's are coming in?" I wasnt ready to buy yet, then someone ran a red light putting me in the hospital and making me carless. Less than 2 weeks later with my right hand still bandaged and unable to drive stick, I went and signed for my '04 6MT.
And I knew it was going to suck trying to keep clean, but MAN does it look nice when its all shined up.

Re: Why your G35c color???
I like all the G colours, but I chose Silverstone (Diamond Gr.) from a choice of D.G., Brill. Silver, and Black.
What I wanted was Lazer Red being a die-hard red lover, but didn't want to wait for a special order.
Now I'm glad I got Silverstone due to its lower maintenance.
I'm sure you'll love whatever colour you buy.

Re: Why your G35c color???
I love my CB coupe. Cheezy? Hardly. Girly? Last time I checked blue was a fairly masculine color. If it was hot pink I might agree...
The G looks downright awesome in black, but there's no way I am going to maintain a black car. TB is a cool color but is just a bit too dark and you lose too much of the blue effect. I prefer the Acura TL blue.
Intitially, I probably would have liked my CB color more if it was somewhere between it and the Daytona blue color. It grew on me quicly though and now I'm glad it's the color that it is. I do think the CB color looks a bit bizzare on a G35 Sedan.
My mom has the Laser Red. Looks awesome in that color too, although as far as reds go I'd rather see a nice deep candy apple color.
I'd been driving white cars for 10 years and really wanted a blue car. The fully loaded 03 CB coupe was just waiting for me in the dealership. I wasn't even looking to buy that day. It was totally meant to be.
