Mani
Here are some examples of "nice touches".

You can pop the trunk without needing the keyfob or bending inside the car. Just push a button on the trunk. Lots of cars do this. Not the G

Dirty water from the windshield when wiping gets on the side windows far too easy. A generous gutter along the sides of the front windshield helps alot.

Having the ability to adjust the air temp at the vents independant of the main setting offers diversity in cooling/heating.

Having the seatback go back to it's original setting after you let someone into the back seat is a no brainer. Why not the G?

Since we're talking sports seats, the bolstering in the G is great; the thigh support adjustment in the Bimmer is greater.

Memory seat positions? Why not?

Front and back battery terminal locations to boost/be boosted.

Why does the G need a "rod" to hold up the hood?

Headlight washers?

Armrests in the coupe would be nice. I understand some of you lucky ones have them.

Having the option to single click the keyfob to unlock all doors is better.

the Bimmer handles slippery conditions better. The Audi Quattro is awesome.

Those are some of the nigglys that come to mind.

But don't get me wrong guys. The G's guts, style, engine SOUND, navi, wheels, power seat control location, seat side bolstering, in dash 6 cd, not to mention $$$ savings over a 330 made it car of the year for these and many more reasons.

Truthfully your right but in all fairness, The G Is less expensive for a reason. Damn this car has all the goodness without all the Price. In reality all those things that the Bmw has that the G does'nt is not worth 10 grand or whatever the difference in price is. Shi*t if I could afford a BMW 745 or 760 right now yeah, thats what I'd get but damn I just got out of college and this is more than enough for the amount im spending for it. Fact of the matter is it's a value buy. Just try to spend this amound of money on any other car and get the same amount of performance and features as this one and you'll fail. thanx Infiniti!!

It would not surprise me if Infiniti went up a few grand in 04. They probably omitted some of these simple options on purpose to justify a price hike in the coming year. Hopefully we’ll be to add those options with a few mods. I just hope they continue with their production control. At this point the price is a mute point since I’m locked in now at MSRP. Just my conspiracy theory ;-).

You are almost right. If you look at the 'stuff' on a well optioned 330, it is not worth an extra 10G's. You have to appreciate and place a value on handling, precision, rigidity and sophistication. Everyone will put a different value to those.

My earlier point was that a better designed front windshield side gutter would cost, what, 50 cents. A button or something to open the trunk can be found on a Focus. A seatback that returns to it's previous setting is free if you think about it. While Infiniti may add upgrades in future years, the aforementioned nigglys shouldn't be part of that evolution. It should have been well thought out last year. This is a premium brand isn't it?

And whats with the mid model year additions. Armrest, fender guards? Were the engineers on holidays last year?

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the C in front of $56,000 means Canadian dollars.
