Done deal ; leaving the G community
^+1
My father bought a 2010 Mustang and after he got it we traded cars for the weekend. Now he wants to trade it in for a G37. My car is 6 years older and has 50k more then his but I stop better, handle better, and take off is about the same. The car feels like it weighs to much and the interior feels cheap to me. Sorry to say the last part but I bet I will have 250k on mine and still be driving it. His might be a nice ford..... but its still a FORD.

Thanks..I will miss the G but owning the car for a year and it costing me $1500 was too good of a deal to pass up and the 2010 GT's are so much more improved over the past mustangs.
Nice! Hopefully they stepped up the interior quality, my friend has an 06 or so Mustang and the paint on the controls is flaking off leaving them completely unreadable.
Enjoy your new car!

I personally don't like the new Mustangs, but really to each his own. There is plenty to like about the Mustang, and equally plenty to hate. Same goes with the G's, and pretty much every other car out there. Congrats on the purchase O/P, you will enjoy playing with it. My buddy has a 04 5at stang putting down 350whp, and he did it all with change to spare.

oh wow, that is strikingly different from the pic someone posted on the first page. LOL . I once thought "Wow, mustang has come a long way" and changed my mind after seeing stock one. LOL
To the original O/P, congrats! I know what you mean about torque... the 270 ft lb on my G is the most I've had so far, so I can imagine what the V8 is like. Granted, I test drove one... those are nice.
Had a question to you about Carmax... so they actually BUY cars from private owners??? So you just went in there and said buy my car? I did not know they do that.

Carmax does buy cars outright and this is the second car I sold them and have nothign but good things to say. I was offered $19k for the car with all the aftermarket stuff on and they told me if I put it back to stock the price would go up substantially and they were right. I wrenched for 5 hours and saw the price increase from $19k to $23K!
I did not have to buy a car from them and there was no pressure at all.
