Yeah, lets not help out someone looking at a used car with the benefit of our experience what to look out for, and should he need repair work what it will really cost or point out less expensive and IMHO better options to OEM parts.

It should be obvious that as original owner after six years I am not bitching about my car, just the facts. If I have ANY negative experience with my G, it is solely the dealer's approach to service, after the first visit back in '04 when they wanted $55 for an oil change with a crappy OEM/Fram filter and Penzoil basic dino, it's never gotten better. Dealer service vs. manufacturer recommended too there's a WIDE gap skewed toward lining the dealer's pockets. Can't blame them for wanting to make a living anymore than I expect them to blame me for seeking service elsewhere, both of us have choices.

In fairness they have been excellent on warranty issues, and I still have had several thousands worth of work done there, I just could not accept some of the more blatant markup jobs.

I point out the clutch slave so the OP would know this is an inexpensive fix should he run into it, and why a swap to higher temp tolerant fluid is a good idea. Same with Brembo brakes, awesome power, just don't get ripped off for a $2400 brake job (pads and rotors all 4 corners, actual dealer quote - no kidding).

That has nothing to do with my liking my car. I wouldn't have continued to invest in upgrades like my NISMO wheels, or COBB AP, etc. if I didn't really like the car!

39000 miles and I am getting my new OS Giken twin disk clutch next week. $2400 bucks installed. I am mad with the price but happy I will have something I can't break that easy as stock.
