I don't let anyone drive my G. It was my first new car and i'm too attached to it. Plus, if I teach a girlfriend how to drive stick, then I can't use that as a reason for her not to drive it.

^lol good one

My wife drives my G about every month or two. I think she went shopping in it 4 or 5 times this year. I told her I was not worried at all.......... but I was really sitting at home praying to GOD for her to take care of my othere girl lol

Well, I wanted to teach my wife how to drive a manual using my G. She stalled it 9 times and finally the 10th time, she was able to get the car moving. Went around the parking lot, and took it to the street and stalled at the Red signal. But she was able to get it going.
I dont have a Manual DD but I am planning to get one so that she can learn more.

wow you guys are way too kind

The first time I tried to TEACH my wife to drive stick, I had my mint/pristine Acura Integra back in 2003. The car itself was an 01. This was what she looked like before my wife thought the GAS pedal was the brake pedal and let go of the clutch and floored it while it was STILL IN THE GARAGE. My front bumper met our bicycles for the very first time... it was love at first sight...lol

Needless to say, she doesn't drive the G nor does she want to. I offered to teach her stick (Again) in my beater Ford Ranger, but she refuses to... I think she's scared now. And though some of you say you guys teach your wives/gf's to drive "just in case" she needs to, we have 3 cars so 2 are auto. She can drive the 2 in the event of an emergency

i think its good to teach ur wife to drive the MT G, never know when u might need someone to drive it somewhere or something... no better than to have ur wife to do so.
I think so too. Its good to have your wife/girlfriend know how to drive a 6MT especially if you have one because you never know when it might come in handy. For me tho its tough. I have to beat my girl with a stick for her to even get in the drivers seat. So has no drive to learn how to drive a 6mt. She's always crying "don't make me do it." Several times her car has had an issue where it needed repair and she couldn't drive it and then I'm stuck playing taxi because she can't drive my car. I would be more than happy to give her the car to drive if she knew how and just take my CBR1k everywhere! It'll be more fun anyways
