Wheel Squeak Please read....

Im coming home from down the shore in traffic and noticed a squeak from the right side of the car. Did'nt think anything of it maybe it was dirty. Wash the car and still does it. Im embarristed when cruzin around, nothing but a squeak, squeak squeak squeak. Funny if I turn right squeak goes away, if I turn left squeaking like a bitch. Only have 2800 miles on it. Anybody have the same thing or noticed it? What can it be? weird ****.

Do you have a 5AT or 6MT? Does it happen all the time or only when braking?

You may just have a little dirt/dust build up on the pads......try driving slow and applying pressure on the brakes for 20 feet or so......if there is any build up on the pads/rotors, it should burn it off....

If not, take it back to the dealer when they do your oil change and have them check it out.....

On a real far shot it could possibly be a dry wheel bearing, but I don't see that happening so soon.......

I have a 6mt with brembos....it only happens if im cruzin' around 30 to 50 mph, if im changing lanes and i turn to the right no squeak, if im turning left it squeak like a bitch. if i hit the brakes the squeak goes away but comes back immedietly. I did a test of lane changes from left to right... changing to the right no squeak...however going from right to left change it squeaking like a bitch. Whats up with that.

I've got the same problem. From what I understand (other posters), it has to do with wheel bearing wearing out (factory spec is too tight). I was actually at the dealer today for an oil change and for the squeak, but of course the tech could not duplicate the problem.
Not only he didn't hear it, he came back with retarded answer: "the squeak you're hearing is the whistling from your aftermarket intake" - I go to him: "No, it's has nothing to do with the whistling - it's a DAMN squeak - a rocking squeak that gets more intense with acceleration. Like in your case, when I brake, the squeak goes away. At least I got it on file, and sooner or later it will get worse to the point it will constantly be there where I'll be able to show them the problem.
