When you guys were waiting for your G to come, how did you pass the time and try to get your mind off of it. Im having a really hard time, and cant wait. I gotta wait until October. HELP ME OUT!

I feel for ya bro. I only had to wait about a month (an unsold car exactly as I wanted it was already in the dealer's order pipeline) but it still was unbearable. I've never wanted a car as badly as this one.

To answer your question directly, well, I dreamed about it, studied the big glossy coupe brochure the dealer gave me for hours (get one if you can, it's great), came here and to FA, swung by the dealer occasionally to lust after other ones on the showroom floor...and generally behaved like a teenager who knows he's about to get laid for the first time. And I was 51 years old at the time...

The better news is that I *still* feel the same excitement about it after 14 months of ownership. It will be well worth the wait, my friend...

Congratulations on the purchase of the coupe. What I did to pass the time was research aftermarket parts for the car and the problems the car has. This way if the problems do occur, you'll know exactly what it is. I received my all-season mats, headlight protection, and front license plate adapter before I picked the car up. I also made an appointment to get my tints done at James Tint.

Take this time to plan out the ultimate treatment for your car. Your careful planning will pay off once you receive it from the dealership. Good luck and I know you'll be posting again once you get your coupe. Take care.

I read this forum for 3 months waiting for my car. I ended up with the z-tube, pop charger, grounding gear kit, and double din kit before my car arrived

 

Haha i went through that sh*t too. Actually I was planning on getting an RSX Type-s '04 back in Feb. but my parents told me I coudlnt get it until June, when i graduated. I used to be obsessed wit the RSX. I would like hyper-ventilate when i saw a black RSX-S on the road. I would be on rsx forums, looking at kits already lol. June was a friggin long *** time away from June. But when grad day came, my parents surprised me wit a '04 coupe. So [censored] the rsx, that peice of junk. hahaha. But yea, until i got a new car, I was surfin car sites all day. I wish i could say something encouraging to you to pass time, but truthfully there is no remedy, especially in anticipation for a car like the G. The G is a sexy biotch. But I know when i was waiting to get my RSX (or what i thought i would be getting), www.acura.com and www.cardomain.com were like my best friends. hahah goodluck man.

I feel your pain.....I ordered my car last year at the end of July.
Each and every month I wondered if it was being built or going on a ship for the US.
Finally, I stopped sweating it, and everytime I saw a new coupe on the road, it made it so much more rewarding knowing mine was on the way......

Finally, in late Oct. Oct 28th to be exact, I received the call I was waiting for......took delivery on Halloween. My trick or treat.....Every day I see my car It still feels like the first day I put the key in the ignition.....

I wish that would have happened, but after I called them once or twice in the first 2 months, I was made well aware that they knew about as much as I did as far as developement stages.....

I basically figured it out to be more or less like this....
Ordered in July.....order went in august
August the dealer got the Vin # for production
Sept the order went into production
Oct the car was headed for the US

Came in the Port Elizabeth in Newark on Oct 28th......

Well, I had to wait a couple of weeks for my G to arrive. I surfed car sites, read car mags, and read the G brochure to death. Then I got a ticket in my dad's Navigator a day before picking up the G. That dampens the excitement by a lot. Maybe that's what you should do...[img]/w3timages/icons/laugh.gif[/img]
The good news is I'm more excited about my car now (10 months after taking delivery) then I did at the beginning. It'll be worth the wait.

Originally, I was thinking that you should stay away from forums because I was just going insane waiting for more info on the 05's and stuff. Then while at the dealership last month I saw one that I wanted and couldn't wait any longer.

Now I think you should surf the forums but do research....If I had found the right posts/websites before I bought the car, I would have just gotten a sunroof and then put on splash guards and underbody diffusers myself for cheaper, plus I could have gotten the Gentrex homelink rear-view mirror. Sigh. Lastly, check out how to wash and polish the car. I ordered some Zaino but I'm still waiting for it because stupid UPS is late, and I couldn't wash my car this weekend =(. She is so dirty.

Its hard but you just have to deal with it. I didn't have to wait for my G but I waited 8 months for my 2003 350Z. Vin#0799 off the assembly line. Longest wait in my life.

 

Hey...hyescarface00, congratulations on your purchase!! The wait for me was definately killer. I ordered my '04 coupe back in July 2003 and didn't get it til Oct. 31st!! I was pulling the hair outta my head by the time it came. Luckily I had school to keep my somewhat busy.

I noticed your screen name, and I was wondering if you're Armenian. A lot of Armenian's use 'hye' as prefixes to screen names and e-mail addresses.
