drifting g35
just wondering if anybody drifts their g35? ive been practicing alot and sometimes when i have the vdc off the slip light still comes on when i drift the car...this only happens when i over drift and the car starts to spin out....then my car shuts down...and it wont start back up unless i pump the gas a little...just wondering if this was some type of safety feature or something... anyway i guess my original question is can i just pull out the vdc fuse and everything should be fine???

Re: drifting g35
I have no problem drifting the G. It had never shut down on me, even if I'd spin out. I'd think it would have a hard time starting due to fuel slush in the tank with a near empty tank.
The one thing I'd like to know is how to totally eliminate the VDC. Even with the VDC off, I can pull off low speed drifts. 1st gear is too long of a gear, and it will easily cause a spin out on a low speed corner. in order to pull of a 2nd gear drift, i'd have to be going at least 40mph..and at least 60mph on 3rd. One thing I might look into is a ring and pinion kit, and a 2 way LSD. The car has lots of power...just that gearing is a bit too long, and the VDC is a bit of a hassle. high speed drifts like 60mph and over and just fine. choku-dori's are a bit hard to get, due to the VDC, the car feels like a "point & shoot" deal. and the VDC is acutally hindering the car to kick back and forth during choku dori's, feeling underpowered..when actually...it has enough low end tq to pull it off.
