This warranty extention is only for coupe ? I have the same problem on my 06 G35x... I'm not sure, but we got the same letter for our FX35. So I'm guessing it's a widespread problem across several vehicles (FX and G share same powertrain).

Warranty work covers both parts and labor. I'd ask your dealer if they have a courtesy car available. I haven't really looked at how the fans are mounted, but if it's like most new cars, I suspect it's at least a two-hour job.

A fan going bad will only destroy an engine if the vehicle's operator is a complete and total moron. There will be several warning signs of impending trouble before the engine gets damaged.

That water temperature gauge in the instrument panel isn't there just because Infiniti felt like throwing away $10 worth of profit per vehicle, or because it just looks cool.
