Re: WHERE TO START?!

a good air intake will compliment your exhuast. that's where i'd go from there. But you've done good so far.

Re: WHERE TO START?!

Why would they have to measure the exhaust? There are standard exhaust system upgrades made for the G....

Re: WHERE TO START?!

So yeah, like I just spent 35 grand on this car. And like I just got a custom exhaust from my friends daughters cousins friends second cousin and like they are making me a custom exhaust. I know i want volks cause like they are the best and who cares about money? cause like my Dad's gonna be paying this and like, i know im only 18 but like all i want to do is pimp out my G.

Re: WHERE TO START?!

LOL, pratik.

Custom exhaust for $600 sounds weird. Why don't you get an engineered exhaust from a reputable company? I think the friend's cousin's friend is just taking your car for some joyrides! j/k

For intakes, you could do the Z-tube/JWT Popcharger, Stillen, Injen, etc. I would try to find some dyno tests to see which one is actually the best. I haven't looked yet but if you find something, post it here.

Re: WHERE TO START?!

i don't think they necessarily need a better paying job. i think most of people here think that kids/people would appreciate the value of a $35k car if they earned it themselves. i on the other hand think that if your parents can afford giving you the down payment for your car than lucky you. hopefully, the down payment was large enough to leave the balance on the car affordable for you. the last thing you'd want is to have a car who's insurance and car note you're unable to afford.

i too would like to fix up my car, but in reality i'd like to do the research myself. i don't think i'd want my cousin's friend or some other party hooking me up with a cheap customized job. with out enough experience or knowledgable engineering your engine could get ***ked up. ofcourse, i'm no where near as knowing as the gals/guys on this board so i guess you came to the right place.

good luck and congratulations on the car.

Re: WHERE TO START?!

Hiromi,

Welcome... where in OC do you live? Have you thought about joining us for the HB meet this coming Saturday (check the So Cal Section)? We should have 20-25 G's there, and it would be a great opportunity for you to meet other G owners as well as get ideas on what mods you want to get (and you'll get to hear/see them in person).

Hope to see you there, and welcome to the forum!

Take care,

Mark
